Talleyville Veterinary Services, PLLC, located on Colorado's beautiful western slope just outside Grand Junction, was established in July of 2010 by Jennifer Carter Knighton, DVM.  Dr. Knighton moved to the Grand Valley in June of 2009 after completing an internship at South Valley Large Animal Clinic in South Jordan, UT.  After working for another equine veterinary outfit for a year, Dr. Knighton's entrepreneurial spirit took hold and TVS was officially open for business. 

Talleyville provides routine and preventative large animal veterinary care for a few near and dear clients, however, the main focus of TVS is equine reproduction and large animal emergency medicine.  Talleyville provides emergency coverage for several established and well-respected equine and mixed-animal veterinarians in the area.  Sharing emergency duty among veterinarians is a win-win situation both for clients and for the veterinarians themselves, but especially for the patients!  TVS is equipped with a mobile vet unit for ranch calls with digital (CR) x-ray capability.  For more critical cases such as medical colics, short term hospitalization can be provided by Double J Equine Services, LLC.



On the reproduction side, TVS offers equine artificial insemination, embryo transfer, breeding soundness evaluations (mare & stallion), stallion collection, collection training, evaluation and shipping, and is a shipped semen receiving center.  Other equine reproductive services such as broodmare monitoring, mare care, foal weaning, and standing stallions are available through Double J Equine Services, LLC.
